Who are we?

Leonardo Cavazanna
Born in São Paulo, Leo was raised in the countryside. Economist by degree, but found in photography a passion that allows him to express different perspectives about life. It all began while traveling in 2015 when he decided to specialize in wildlife photography.
Nature and animal photography is a striking signature of Leo's work. It has coexistence as the center of its narrative and seeks to bring nature closer to people. He has worked and created campaigns across 5 continents for brands such as UN, NatGeo, Volkswagen and more.
Teacher and workshop guide since 2018, he has already had over 500 students with whom he has shared his technique and worldview, "seeing the environment beyond the lens". His key characteristic set is the creativity and storytelling of his photos and he believes that sharing his experience with others is his purpose in photography.

Ricardo Braz
Ricardo Braz, 29, is a travel photographer from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, totally drawn to nature, new adventures, and minimalist and surreal sceneries. He's been doing photography full-time for about 5 years and considers himself extremely lucky to be able to call it his job.
His work has already featured in National Geographic, British Airways' in-flight cover magazine, Folha de S. Paulo and many other magazines. His plans for the future are hosting more photography workshops, focusing on web3 and discovering more hidden gems in the world. He's seen 75 countries in our big planet, and have no plans to stop anytime soon.
He believes that traveling is the best way to grow as a person, thus his objective as a photographer is to inspire others to get out there and explore the unknown, push themselves out of their comfort zones, and to become better people.
What is Gaia?
Gaia goes beyond photography. Gaia is about acknowledging there is great beauty out there, to be seen and felt, and we are out there to experience and share it, taking photographs and videos along the way. We're an expedition company that goes above and beyond to provide the best photographic experience for our clients (who turn family in the blink of an eye).
We created Gaia to share our over 10 years of experience photographing the great wonders of the earth with others. By traveling with us, you will get full access to our workflow of creation and to how we see and frame everything. From landscapes and wildlife, to people and products. We also share how we pitch to and work with brands, adding to the overall chill nature wandering vibe we set throughout the whole trip.
